YouTuber Nick Zetta, also known as Basically Homeless, managed to build a functional gas-powered gaming PC using the world’s smallest V8 engine. On the hardware side, it features an ASRock Steel Legend motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, a Lian Li GA-360B Galahad AIO 360 RGB radiator, an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX graphics card, G.Skill Trident Z5 6000MHz DDR5 RAM, and a Samsung 990 PRO SSD.
Getting everything to run off the world’s smallest V8 engine is an entirely different story, as it required a small generator connected to a recitifier and then a converter to change it to usable 24V electricity stored in two small batteries. Spinning those motors to generate the electricity is where the V8 engine comes into play and after lots of 3D printing as well as installing a pedal, everything came together as planned, or so we’d like to think.
