Hyundai teamed up with Kia to unveil an all-new DAL-e delivery robot. Featuring a square column design with rounded corners keeping the center of gravity at the bottom, while its sensors are discreetly integrated.
The robot is based on four of Hyundai’s Plug & Drive (PnD) modules, a mobility system that combines a motor with steering, suspension, braking systems and environmental recognition sensors. It can achieve a top speed of 2.7 mph (1.2 m/s), and free-moving PnD modules combined with advanced autonomous driving technology lets it easily recognize obstacles and easily navigate in congested areas. an enhanced suspension lets it easily traverse over bumps in the floor to ensure stable delivery.
