Epic Games has just released a new Unreal Engine 3 tech demo that gives us a taste of what’s to come in Gears of War 3. That’s not all, it also powers “the Mass Effect series to the gorgeous Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.” Continue reading to watch.

According to Epic, the new features added to the engine since we last highlighted in March are: light shafts a.k.a. god rays, depth of field for filmmakers, color grading, cascaded shadow maps, point light shafts, full Scaleform GFx user interface package, and SteamWorks support for online services.
