While not as novel as this Jensen Huang signed NVIDIA RTX 4070, the new Intel Arc B-Series (Battlemage) – the B580 and B570 – graphics cards are designed to offer best-in-class value for performance at price points that are accessible to most gamers. These cards can also accelerate AI workloads, thanks to the Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI engines that power the newly introduced XeSS 2.
The Arc B-Series GPUs utilize Intel’s latest Xe2 architecture, while second-generation Xe-cores deliver the solid compute capabilities required for modern workloads, including high-performance XMX AI engines. These latest Xe-cores are supported by more capable ray tracing units, better mesh shading performance and improved support of key graphics functions to significantly increase performance efficiency with the latest game engines. Intel’s Arc B580 boasts 12GB of dedicated GPU memory and 10GB for the Intel Arc B570, so gamers can expect high-performance gaming at 1440p ultra quality settings. The B580 will be available on December 13, priced at $249 USD, and the B580 hits stores on January 16 for $249.
