A keyboard is just a keyboard—rows of keys, maybe some backlighting, and a job: help you type. But every now and then a device comes along that challenges the ordinary, combines ideas in ways that make you stop and think what’s possible. That device is the KeyGo, a slim, foldable keyboard with a 12.8-inch touchscreen built right in.
It’s made from CNC-machined aluminum so the keyboard feels premium, more so MacBook than a budget peripheral. At 800g and 324mm long when folde, it slips into a bag easily making it a travel friendly companion for anyone who works on the go. The 180 degree hinge is the standout feature, you can adjust the screen from flat against the keys to fully upright like a mini monitor. This means you can set it up however you need, whether you’re glancing at notes or using it as a second screen.

The keyboard uses scissor-switch keys, similar to those found on a high end laptop. They’re quiet, responsive and designed for fast typing without the loud clack of mechanical switches. Some purists might miss the tactile feedback of a mechanical keyboard but for most this strikes a balance between comfort and practicality. A number pad on the right side is for accountants, gamers or anyone who crunches numbers regularly. RGB backlighting adds flair with three modes—breathing, solid color and rainbow wave—activated by simple key combos (FN + Q, W, or E).

As for that 12.8-inch touchscreen, it has a 1920×720 resolution, and the IPS LCD features 300 nits of brightness, 800:1 contrast, as well as 72% NTSC color coverage. Fully laminated glass ensures colors pop and touch inputs feel precise, supporting up to 10 finger touch for gestures like pinching to zoom or swiping to switch apps.

Plug it into a Windows, macOS, Android or iOS device via USB-C and it becomes an extension of your screen. You could run a Spotify playlist, a video editing timeline or system monitoring tools right above your keys. It’s like having a second monitor that folds up and follows you everywhere. Connectivity includes two USB-C ports, one for power, one for data, with a single cable being able to do it all. Universal compatibility means the KeyGo can turn a tablet into a productivity hub or add touch input to a desktop that lacks it.
The Kickstarter is nearing $100,000 so the excitement is real. Early backers can get the KeyGo for $249, a $289 discount from the projected $538 retail price. Shipping is slated for November 2025 so you’ll need to be patient.
