Large Language Models LLMs AI Street Fighter 3
Do some AI Large Language Models (LLMs) perform better than others in video games? The answer is an astounding ‘yes’, and this LLM Colosseum benchmark by Stan Girard / Quivr Brain, shows why using Street Fighter 3 running in an emulator.

Amazon engineer Banjo Obayomi put it to the test using a new fighting game-based large language model (LLM) tournament and as you can see here, AI makes real-time decisions as to how they fight. They are prompted on how to react to in-game action after first analyzing the state for context and then considering their move options. Starting things off, we see two random LLMs controlling Ken with LLM Colosseum as they gather game state data, retrieve player moves with the LLMs and then executing their chosen moves within the emulator. Let’s just say that in the near future, we may be seeing AI battle each other in fighting game tournaments instead of actual humans.
