Rockstar Games officially announced that the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer will be released on Tuesday (December 5th) at 9am ET, but this supposedly ‘leaked’ video had fans in a frenzy earlier today. Some may have fallen for the fan project, but others were quick to point out that some of the footage used was sourced from different games.

Speaking of fake trailers, did you know that the first GTA 6 trailer supposedly leaked way back in 2015? It basically showed in-engine footage of a car driving around, but was actually demo footage from Dream Engine. The next big leak happened in 2019 when someone posted a document on Pastebin claiming that the game would have a map that was 40 times larger than GTA 5 that encompassed San Andreas, Liberty City, Mid-West, and Vice City. It’s safe to say that none of those leaks or rumors turned out to be credible.
