LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron and Goku Set 11390
LEGO and Toei Animation have put Shenron on an official box. Set 11390, sold as LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku, is the first product from a new partnership between the brick company and the studio behind the anime, and it goes straight at the summoning that starts almost every wish in the original series. Designers studied animation frames and the classic poses, then built a display model around that one moment: the dragon rising, the kid on the cloud, the seven balls already gathered.

Builders receive 1764 pieces for their epic dragon build for $179.99 in the United States, 129.99 Quid in the United Kingdom, and 139.99 euros across Europe. When finished, the model measures 12.5 inches high, 9.5 inches long, and 10 inches wide, which is about the correct height to fit on a shelf while still allowing you to see the dragon from across the room. LEGO Insiders can get a copy starting November 1, 2026, but everyone else needs to wait until the 4th to get it on lego.com or one of their stores. More Dragon Ball sets are still in the works for 2027.

Shenron has an impressive build. The body winds itself in a great long looping form, the scales flow beautifully, the carved claws provide a nice touch, and the head rotates, allowing for a variety of posing options. Those claws may be posed, preventing the structure from becoming trapped in a single frozen stance. Black supports provide a dual purpose of preventing overhanging parts from sagging while also complementing the gloomy sky of a summoning scene. First impressions from set observers say that the build quality is on level with, if not better than, recent similar dragon models, allowing for the occasional apparent gray joint or two along the limbs.

Kid Goku gets to ride the Kintoun around the middle of Shenrons coil. The minifigure can be popped in and out, allowing you to pose the cloud and boy anyway you choose. Another great addition to the minifigure is a new spike hairpiece, an orange gi with the Kame mark, tail, and Power Pole, and the Nimbus can even walk on its own. That’s also where the dragon balls are, along with seven 2×2 bricks at the base and a little plaque with the original manga emblem. The instructions are all available online in the LEGO Builder app, which includes a 3D view that allows you to zoom in and track your progress, which is extremely handy when making a long, convoluted coil like this.

Federico Begher, a senior lead on the LEGO product team, refers to this set as the beginning of the cooperation rather than the whole of it. Masayuki Endo of Toei Animation, on the other hand, tied the release to the early Dragon Ball episodes, you know, the ones before the series got a little carried away with the title.
