LimX Dynamics’ TRON 1 is touted as the world’s first multi-modal biped robot, as in it’s capable of switching between Point-Foot, Sole, and Wheeled foot ends. The Point-Foot mode can be used for a walk in the woods or just around your home.
The Sole mode was designed to imitate human walking gait, while the Wheeled foot-end enables TRON 1 to zip across flat terrain on motorized wheels, as well as climb over obstacles by locking them to use as feet. It stands 33.6-inches tall and weighs in at a svelte 44-pounds. On a full charge, it can be used for approximately 1.5-hours. Expansion ports let users connect additional peripherals like cameras, robotic arms, and even LiDAR units. Available now, priced from $15,000 USD.
