The Matrox Extio F1400 remote graphics unit keeps the user interface (keyboard/mouse/audio peripherals/etc.) seperate from the rest of your computer by using up to 820 feet of fiber optic cable. It features a Matrox-designed graphics chip, 128MB graphics memory, dual-LC connector (for fiber optic cable), four DVI-I connectors, six USB 2.0 ports, and integrated audio hardware. The F1400 will be released Q2 2006.

“This should save space at the display station, removes a potentially noisy computer, and allows system administrators to access and maintain the system at a separate location.”
