Mehler Protection unveils the ExoM Up-Armored Exoskeleton, offering ballistic protection up to VPAM 8, or the ability to withstand being hit by three 7.62 × 39-mm rounds (AK-47) fired from a distance of 33-feet.
The passive exoskeleton’s titanium frame doesn’t utilize motorized actuators and is capable of redistributing as much as 70% of the overall load from the wearer’s shoulders down to the ground. Most importantly, the user retains up to 99% of their usual range of motion. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
