The new My Arcade x Atari Gamestation Portable handheld was unveiled at CES 2024 this past week, and it most certainly is more compact than the Atari Portfolio from 1989. What sets it apart from similar devices is the built-in trackball and paddle controls that will let fans enjoy classics like Pong as they remember them.
Featuring a high-resolution 7″ display, an integrated keypad, and possibly support for over 100 classic Atari games. Coolest of all is the fact that the trackball and paddle controller will only light up when the game being played supports them. No other information was revealed at the show, but we do know that it will boast a rechargeable Li-ion battery rather than rely on traditional batteries. Available later this year, priced at or around $149 USD.
