Unlike the LEGO Atari 2600, the MyArcade X Atari Gamestation Plus is a functional retrogaming console with over 200 built-in classic games. It will be priced at $99.99 USD when released later in June and include legendary games from the Atari 2600, Atari 7800 and Atari Arcade platforms.
The Gamestation Plus comes bundled with two joystick controllers with 8-way directionality that connect to the console via Bluetooth and can be recharged over USB-C. Aesthetically, both the console and joystick controllers have RGB lighting that should be customizable via either an on-screen interface or a companion app. Let’s just hope the Gamestation Plus fares better than the Atari VCS, which not only had a 3-year delay, but also failed at being the PC alternative that many had hoped it would be due to lack of processing power as well as the high price tag.
