Apple claims its new 17-inch MacBook is the thinnest notebook ever, at just 0.98-inches thick. Other features include: 1920 x 1200 LED backlit display, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2.66-GHz), 4GB of DDR3 memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M/9600GT graphics, 320GB HDD, and a slot-loading SuperDrive. On the 9600GT, it’s down to 7 hours, but using the 9400M integrated graphics, 8 hours. That’s three hours longer than the previous 17-inch MacBook Pro, giving it a 60% increase in battery life.
