Always wanted to pick up a Game Boy Color development tool used by developers? It may cost you a pretty penny, or $14,000 USD to be exact, as that was the last known sale.
The development board, called the CGB-STB-X2, not only has a cartridge slot, controls, and screen, but also its very own splash screen. Since this is an early development board, it doesn’t have the final firmware required to play some of the later games such as Pokemon Crystal. Some other interesting features include a volume knob, headphone jack, and a Super Nintendo-sourced power connector. Tito of Macho Nacho Productions also showcases several other development tools including an IS-CGB emulator device that most have probably never seen and the consoles that plug into it.
