NVIDIA Content Aware Fill

Adobe’s “Content-Aware” fill tool is good for some applications, but when your image is missing giant chunks of data, you’ll need NVIDIA’s “Content-Aware Fill” technology, which is powered by artificial intelligence. It uses deep learning, and fills the missing data with computer-generated imagery, rather than just data from surrounding pixels. “Our model can robustly handle holes of any shape, size location, or distance from the image borders. Previous deep learning approaches have focused on rectangular regions located around the center of the image, and often rely on expensive post-processing. Further, our model gracefully handles holes of increasing size,” said the researchers. Click here for the first image in today’s viral picture gallery.
