Kai-Xiang Zhong, a 24-year-old self-taught artist from Taiwan, first gained fame back in 2013 for the incredible Iron Man sculpture you see above, which earned him the nickname “Tony Stark of Cardboard”. Since then, he’s continued to make incredible life-sized sculptures exclusively out of corrugated cardboard, and his collection now features life-sized animals, mythical creatures, and even “It”‘s Pennywise. NASA’s Parker Solar Probe has officially made the closest-ever approach to a star and captured an image of the sun’s outer atmosphere for the world to see. The image, captured Nov. 8, shows the corona when the spacecraft was just 16.9 million miles from the star. The probe’s WISPR instrument took the photo, in which Jupiter is seen as the bright object. Parker also broke records for the fastest space probe, as it sends data back from its first solar encounter, and scientists gathered Wednesday at the American Geophysical Union meeting in Washington, D.C., to speak about the data. California’s public utilities commission is set to vote to approve taxing text messages next month, so sending texts and emojis could soon cost you more on top of your monthly bill. This new proposal aims to expand the public programs tax to text messages, while others argue that some service wireless carriers — the ones who bundle services — already charge the proposed tax on texting. To be more specific, many wireless carriers bundle services and charged a fixed rate, so those consumers already pay a surcharge on the cost for their texts. If you follow Game of Thrones, direwolves are nothing new, but for those who don’t, it’s basically a variant of wolf that is extremely rare in Westeros, and it’s also the sigil of House Stark. More specifically, they’re a larger cousin to the standard wolf and commonly grey / black with fur, though an albino has white fur. English land artist Simon Beck, known for his extraordinary snow art, has carved an astonishing mural in a snowy mountainside yet again. Armed with snowshoes and ski poles, he managed to etch out a chilling, large-scale rendition of one of these direwolves, complete with the iconic Stark motto, ‘Winter Is Coming’ in the Game of Thrones font. The police in New Jersey city are trying to catch the thieves by teaming up with Amazon to install doorbell cameras and plant dummy boxes with GPS tracking devices at homes around the city. “We had a box out on the street for three minutes before it was taken.
