Game of Thrones Direwolf Snow Art
If you follow Game of Thrones, direwolves are nothing new, but for those who don’t, it’s basically a variant of wolf that is extremely rare in Westeros, and it’s also the sigil of House Stark. More specifically, they’re a larger cousin to the standard wolf and commonly grey / black with fur, though an albino has white fur. English land artist Simon Beck, known for his extraordinary snow art, has carved an astonishing mural in a snowy mountainside yet again. Armed with snowshoes and ski poles, he managed to etch out a chilling, large-scale rendition of one of these direwolves, complete with the iconic Stark motto, ‘Winter Is Coming’ in the Game of Thrones font. In this video, we get to watch Beck plot a skeleton of lines on the chosen section of the mountain, and once the mural is planned, it’s simply a matter of connecting the dots by walking through the snow, or so we’d like to think.

“Snowshoe artist Simon Beck created this awesome giant direwolf as part of a promotion for Game of Thrones. The temporary artwork was created back in the Winter of 2016 for Sky TV who was airing the show in their region,” according to Twisted Sifter.
