Pioneer has announced it will start shipping the “BDR-101A” OEM Blu-Ray drive at the end of next month (January 2006). This drive supports BD-R/RE/ROM, DVD±R DL, and DVD±R/RW formats. It will also be able to record on to 25GB BD-R/RE discs at 2X speed, DVD+R DL (2.4X), DVD-R DL (2.0X), DVD±R (8X), and DVD±RW (4X). The unit measures 148×198×42.3mm and weighs 1.1kg. Pioneer
