You’ve seen the first-person RE2 remake, now check out a playable Resident Evil 2 Remake fixed camera mod, which gives off vibes of the 1998 PlayStation original. Put simply, it’s a REFramework mod that enables fans to play the Resident Evil 2 Remake from a fixed camera perspective.
Once the game starts, you’ll see your character from the point of view of a mounted / fixed cinema camera pointed at the scene. When trying to walk out of frame, it will automatically change cameras based on your new location, with the angles transitioning to one another in a seamless sequence that will follow you wherever you go. After downloading the mod here, running it requires the steps below.
- Bundle includes Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 full game digital voucher
- Slim Design - With PS5, players get powerful gaming technology packed inside a sleek and compact console design.
- 1TB of Storage - Keep your favorite games ready and waiting for you to jump in and play with 1TB of SSD storage built in.

Press ‘Insert’ (by default) to open the REFramework UI. The mod options will be under the ‘RE2R Classic’ menu of REF’s ‘Script Generated UI’ section. It will also appear in its own separate window (it may appear tiny at first), which you can close or spawn from the default menu,” said alphaZomega.
