The Dubai Metro, built at a cost of $7.8-billion, officially opened to the public on September 9, 2009. Surprisingly enough, “more than 110,000 people, which is nearly 10 per cent of Dubai’s population, used the Metro in its first two days of operation.” Videos after the break.
