An auto enthusiast from Romania decided to turn a 2004 Opel Astra G sedan with 62,758-miles on the odometer into an Audi R8 knockoff of sorts. Fortunately, they’re only asking $2,783 USD, and it comes complete with custom bumpers, grille, side skirts, fenders, lighting units on both ends, quad tailpipes and apparently, 19-inch wheels. Police drones are nothing new, but the Audi Patrone aims to take things to the next level. Unlike the others, this 4-rotor quadcopter drone boasts a jet propulsion system for emergencies, and comes equipped with powerful lights, cameras, as well as a VR system, which looks eerily similar to the PlayStation VR headset, that enables law enforcement officers to control it from a safe distance. However, should you activate “Peak Power” mode is activated, 764 hp is used to propel the car from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in a mere 2.1-seconds. The vehicle is also compatible with Audi Wireless Charging technology, which means, that you simply have to drive over a charging pad on the floor, park, and the alternating magnetic field creates an alternating voltage in the secondary coil fitted in the floor. Featuring flared front / rear wheel arches, black ADV.1 wheels, complete with red lettering on the tires, as well as blacked out front grille and air intakes. A large roof rack ensures you’ll have enough supplies to survive for weeks, while yellow LED rally-style roof lights keeps things illuminated in complete darkness. Yes, it’s true, Neill Blomkamp of District 9 fame is set to direct MGM’s upcoming RoboCop reboot, set for release in 2019 – 2020, and this Audi R5 Concept by Maik Muller would fit right into the film. Featuring air intakes up front, in the back, and even on top of the vehicle, while covers make it appear to be gliding on the roads. In just a few years, the roads will be filled with electric vehicles, and Audi’s sleek autonomous Aicon will be one of them. First unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show, it boasts four electric motors located on the front and rear axles that generate a combined 348 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. The autonomous Audi Aicon comes equipped with an SAE Level 3 system that lets the driver leave steering, braking, following distance, and speed maintenance functions to the built-in AI computer systems. You read that right, its Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is designed to adapt and refine decision-making so that it can anticipate about 10 seconds ahead. Under the hood, it boasts an all-electric drive system, with one electric motor for the front wheels and two for the rear wheels, that delivers 429 horsepower, good for a 62-mph dash in 4.5-seconds. Unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show, Audi’s new E-Tron Sportback Concept is an all-electric vehicle that takes on the Tesla Model X. Powered by one electric motor on the front axle, two in the rear, and a low-mounted battery pack, it produces the equivalent of 500-horsepower, enabling it to go from 0-62mph in just 4.5-seconds, with a range of over 300-miles. Let’s face it, any car commercial requires a decent budget, that is unless…you hire Felix Hernandez. Audi Middle East teamed up with the photographer to create these surreal scenes set in the desert and other parts of Dubai. “Where I normally work with 1/18 scale models, for the Q2 launch I was commissioned to do a series of photographies using a 1/43 scale model.
