Ebo Cat Smart Robot Companion
Ebo is the creation from Enabot, and it’s a softball-sized robot that looks like your typical cat toy, but comes equipped with a host of high-tech features, including a 1080p camera, microphone, Wi-Fi connectivity, automatic docking/charging, self-learning AI, as well as activity / mood trackers. Memes and cat pictures have nearly been around as long as the internet, but back in 1898, an unknown photographer was already planning for this by capturing the photo above, or so we’d like to think. Then starting in 1914, American photographer Harry Whittier Frees continued by shooting an entire series of photos showing cats wearing clothes and in human-like poses. Grumpy Cat Dies

Grumpy Cat, the famed internet celebrity for her permanent frown, died this week, aged 7. Despite being cared for by top professionals, Grumpy died on Tuesday from complications after a recent urinary tract infection. “Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world – even when times were tough. Internet Meme Morris Cat

Long before internet memes, there was Morris the Cat, the mascot for 9Lives brand cat food, who has appeared on its packaging and in many of its television commercials. This particular appearance was on a 1986 calendar titled “Morris, A Cat For Our Times” that featured several pieces of technology. Did you know that three different cats have played Morris the Cat? That’s right, the original was discovered in 1968, at the Hinsdale Humane Society, a Chicago-area animal shelter. Read more for additional pictures.

Cats Turned Anime Characters

Let’s face it, many social media users go on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. to look at animal pictures, but China-based artist “Xuedaixun” does so for an entirely different reason. This person grabs the most popular photos on these networks and transforms them into anime-inspired human characters, both cats and dogs. Electric Skateboard Cats

Electric skateboards are nothing new, but this one was designed specifically for cats by Kim Pimmel. “For the latest in my Pet Projects experiments, I built an electric skateboard for my cat to ride. Put a treat into the throttle lever, and she pulls it to get a snack and a boost,” said Pimmel. Parts used include: an Adafruit Feather M0, Adafruit Feather Motor Wing, Lipstick USB Battery PackTenergy 12V 2000mAh NiMH Battery Pack, Orangatang Kegel 80 mm, uxcell DC 12V 2000RPM Brushed Electric Motor 45mm, XCSOURCE Pulleys / Motor + Belt + Bracket + Screw Tool Set, and a skateboard deck / trucks from a local shop. Instagram user Ksenia from Russia combined her love of both cats and food into one, using Adobe’s ever so popular Photoshop software. Whether it be a croissant, blueberries, sushi, or cookies, you’ll find these bizarre mashups and more. “I always wanted to create something funny and this is what I came up with at the end of January and launched my Instagram account,” said Ksenia.
