On March 22, 2025, Verge Motorcycles broke a Guinness World Record for longest journey by an electric motorcycle on a single charge, going 193.053 miles in London. They used a factory Verge TS Pro, ridden by Sam Clarke and Sara Sloman for 16 hours through normal city streets, including suburban regions within London’s M25 ring road, with 7% of the battery left when they finished.

This amazing machine was made by Maxwell Hazan, a prize-winning motorcycle builder who’s been crafting one-of-a-kind, handmade bikes since 2012. His newest creation, called the HF355, takes a 3.5-liter Ferrari V8 engine—pulled from the famous Ferrari F355—and puts it into a totally custom motorcycle.
What sets the Verge TS Pro, a futuristic electric motorcycle, apart from the competition is its hubless rear wheel. Instead of a normal hub motor, it integrates its electric motor directly into the rim of the rear wheel. That’s right, electromagnets repel each other to spin the wheel to drive the bike forward.
Bel&Bel’s real-life Kaneda bike has made its rounds on the internet for the past year, but now, this Akira-inspired electric Ichiban motorcycle is actually set to go into production.
