Samsung Electronics filed a patent for what appears to be a rollable smartphone and the filing includes a 36-page document that shows just how it could work. When not expanded, it looks like a typical smartphone with a rounded display, but at the push of a button, the full panel is revealed. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is expected to be officially unveiled at the Unpacked event on August 11th, but apparently, a few images of the Classic model have already leaked. That’s right, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic features a black / silver finish, a physical bezel, two buttons on the right edge for navigation and power on/off. In just a couple more weeks, Samsung is expected to unveil their new Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphone, and while most technical details have not been revealed, we do know that it will have an IPX8 rating for the first time. Now this means that the device can withstand continuous immersion in water that can be deeper than 1m (3ft). However, the testing conditions for the IPX8 are defined by the manufacturer, but are always under more severe conditions than the testing for the IPX7 rating. Not too much is known about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G flagship smartphone, other than that the handset could boast an AMD GPU. Apple’s iPhone 13, set to be released later this year, will most likely be powered by the A15 Bionic chip, so this new Exynos GPU would put it in direct competition. At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021, Samsung Electronics debuted its One UI Watch user experience, which is designed to make the Galaxy Watch and smartphone experience more deeply connected. The company also confirmed that One UI Watch will be available for Galaxy Watch on the new, unified platform that is currently being jointly built with Google, bringing performance enhancements, a more seamless experience between the Watch / Android smartphones as well as access to an even greater number of applications.
