If Nintendo ever released a Super Mario World remake in Unreal Engine 5 with full 3D environments, it might look like this fan creation by Bobby Ivar. This fan spent 1-year on the remake, starting with turning the 2D tiles into 3D versions to make a level building tool.
Yes, Ivar also coded Yoshi’s tongue, which means he’s able to eat random objects, but with the option to add several of them for maximum efficiency. One of our most favorite sections has to be the cave, as the single pillar-based background just gives it a mysterious feel, even more so in 3D.
