Twitter was down for a few hours late yesterday, thanks to the “Iranian Cyber Army”. The site was defaced with a simple image, email address, and message. This might have had something to do with the US government intervening “to assure that Twitter was available to protesters in Tehran,” during the Iranian election protests. Thankfully, service was quickly restored.
This attack may be an act of reprisal from groups who were not happy with the role that Twitter played during the protests.
