This crazy Unreal Engine 5 tech demo by TeaserPlay shows what a Venom game by Insomniac for next-gen consoles like the PS5 could look like. For those who can’t wait for Sony, there are other Venom-based video games like Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage as well as its sequel, Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), this Unreal Engine 5-powered Venom game is nothing like the games from the 1990s. Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage is basically a side-scrolling beat ’em up game, with several familiar characters including Captain America, Black Cat, Iron Fist, Cloak and Dagger, Deathlok, Morbius and Firestar. Its sequel had Spider-Man and Venom teaming up to defeat the evil symbiote Carnage, with many thugs that the player has to defeat such as a heavily armed Jury as well as Venom’s symbiote children.
