BMW has just released a video of its infrared (FIR) system — first introduced last year — for the 7-series. The camera, located in the front airdam, easily spots a jogger and skater in dark driving conditions. Video clip after the jump.
BMW will offer a thermal imaging system on its 7 Series that will allow drivers to see living beings (and hot-dog trucks open for business) on an LCD screen, long before they come into view unassisted.
