Did you know that Volvo made a hot rod? That’s right, it’s called the Volvo T6 Roadster Concept and was actually built by one person…former Volvo employee Leif Tufvesson. He not only designed the vehicle, but also fabricated the vehicle entirely in his garage.
Power comes from an S80-sourced, twin-turbocharged 2.9L inline-six engine making around 300 hp, mated to a five-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. The body itself was formed using 0.6-inch aluminum panels, drawing inspiration from the Volvo P1800, PV444, XC70, S60, C70, and S80. Suspension wise, it boasts custom-built A-arms for the fully independent front / rear suspension that sits on 20- and 22-inch wheels.
