Wal-Mart apparently listed the 30GB “Zune” player earlier today at $284.00, which is approximately $15 less than the $299.99 MSRP. That listing has since been removed, but according to rumors, Microsoft is planning on lowering the MSRP to compete with Apple’s new iPod 5.1G. Short “Zune” commercial after the jump.

Also, a Zune phone is definitely on the horizon. Whether it’s a Zune w/ phone hardware in it, or a phone with Zune software in it, Microsoft won’t spill. We’re guessing the former
