This Zelda 64 mod by ‘sw97’ recreates the Ocarina of Time Spaceworld 1997 beta. Unfortunately, this experience was originally a demo, so it cannot be completed from start-to-finish like the final game, but rather features three gameplay “tours” from the original Nintendo Spaceworld 1997 demo.
Unlike other fan games, this one is actually playable now. First, you need a legally-obtained ROM of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (version 1.0 NTSC-U) then the patch has to be download. Next, run that patch through a special patcher tool and then enjoy the game on your platform of choice, whether it be an actual Nintendo 64 console with the beta loaded onto a flashcart or just an emulator. The more technically inclined can also compile the project from source code on either native Lniux or a Windows Substyem for Linux (WSL) using a distribution such as Ubuntu. Download it here now.
