It all started with the image above, showing two otters holding hands, and then it went viral from there. Sea otters will often float in groups, referred to as rafts, whilst eating resting and sleeping. A raft of these otters can be 2-100+ and during this activity they will all hold hands to stay together in their group. Plus, otters will use sea plants that grow from the ocean floor which they will wrap themselves up in, which helps keep them from drifting away. Continue reading for more.
