Tired of the games on your cell phone? Then check out "Arcade Reality". It's basically software that uses your phone's camera to bring ordinary objects such as the ground to life. Video after the jump.
Aiming your phone at bad guys that appear in the space around you, it kind of combines the active nature of a Wiimote with a light gun like the one that came with the original NES

Fake. Cellphones' cameras have a very small aperture/focal length, and focus on such a wide depth that this would be impossible. The objects in the game are smaller, as they appear further back and bigger as they are closer, but since the camera focuses on everything this would be impossible for the game to interpret. Even if the game could somehow do this, the processing power of the cellphones used is shy of what would be needed . Sorry.

grrr, just because something is cool doesn't mean it is fake. If you look closely at the video you can see the targets aren't interacting with the environment so it possible they just get larger to simulate the objects getting closer. the phone most likely only uses dark and light patches on the picture to work out the direction the camera is pointing and move the game objects accordingly.
