Clelia II, a US-operated Antarctic cruise ship with 160 people on board, lost one of its engines at sea during a massive storm. According to the Argentine Navy, “the Clelia II declared an emergency on Tuesday, reporting it had lost an engine amid heavy seas and 55 miles per hour (90 km per hour) winds.” Video after the break.

Reports say the Clelia lost its engine after a wave broke a window in the bridge and damaged its control electronics. Its expected to complete its 500-mile trip back to port Friday through the Drake Passage, one of the roughest ocean crossings in the world.
