eBay Watch: Nintendo Wii "Box" Sells for $426.67

Yes, someone actually paid $426.67 for a Wii box on eBay. First the receipt, now this, what's gonna be next, the Wii Sports sticker? Auction page.
Today, you could be the proud owner of an Official Nintendo Wii box. The Official Nintendo Wii box is in good condition. This box can be used to hold many things that will fit inside of it. The box can also be used to impress your friends. Tell them that you got a wii and show them the box. As long as they dont ask to play it, you're in the clear

That money could've bought a real Wii, with a box. All I have to say is that I hope these people don't breed.

*say

In his defense... he made an effort to make it "pretty" obvious this was an empty box.

I have finally realized all the humor behind these injuries, scams, crimes, etc.
6
what an a**. I'm sure none of these people got away with this. I would place a stop payment on my card so fast.

x''D this is by far the best auction scam ever. even though i must say that it doesnt seem to be a scam at all. just look at the description. it says it is just the box.

I hope the "scammer" gets all $427 + $20 shipping and is not forced to return a dime. 23 bids on a BOX and out of all them, no one seemed to notice its a BOX with nothing. We can only hope these people will be $447 poorer for being stupid.

Big black letters: This is for the box only, not the system. Come on, this buyer is.a.dumbass seller deserves every penny. He made it more than obvious.

No need to worry. Here in Turkey, Wii sells for 570$ because of taxes. And so, noone can buy any Wii. Come to Turkey to buy Wii if you can't find around :)

[...] That’s right, a Nintendo Wii “email address sold for a whopping $385 on eBay. This is definitely worse than the Wii box that sold for $426.67, at least you got the real box. What are your thoughts? Auction page. The item you are bidding on is the e-mail address wiis.r.us@gmail.com which will allow you to show your potential buyers just how much you love Nintendo’s new system Copyright © 2006 TechEBlog. To the guy who said you woudld put a stop on your payment card - you couldnt! He is selling the item exactly as described - you would loose a chargeback case. How about the mug who paid £225 for a sheet of paper? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230059462301
