The McDonnell XF-85 Goblin is touted as the world's smallest fighter jet, measuring only 14.8-feet long. It was first introduced by the US Air Force in 1948 and designed specifically to fit inside the bays of larger bomber aircraft. The Goblin was scheduled to be part of the "parasite jet fighter program", so it wasn't fitted with landing gear, but instead, used a trapeze dock system. Video after the break.
