Exoskeleton fanatic James Hobson created a proof-of-concept exoskeleton concept in 2014 that enabled him to curl 170-pounds with ease. Now, the upgraded version features a lower portion constructed from a pneumatic jacks connected to a miniature air compressor, all held together by steel bars and ratcheting joints. All of these upgrades enabled him to lift a 2,524-pound Mini Cooper, and without any issues. However, his ultimate goal is a full-body suit that incorporates both his arms and legs, rather than have two exoskeleton halves.
