Designed by Kerry Jia Yi Lin, the Hermit Nap Station is an interactive shell that aims to provided a private space for sleeping in public places. It “uses RFID tags to know when you’ve crossed your arms and set your head down for a nap.” Video after the break.

Once you’ve assumed the position, the felt shell closes above you, providing “a personal refuge in a communal environment.”
