New McDonalds Flagship Store

This is not an Apple Store with a McDonalds inside, but rather the latter’s all-new flagship store in Chicago – formerly the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll McDonald’s’. This 19,000-square-foot space was designed by Chicago-based Ross Barney Architects and boasts floating glass gardens, touch-screens, 27-foot windows, as well as wireless phone charging technology. “The incredibly futuristic eatery will remain open 24 hours a day and seven days a week, but the new restaurant nixes Beatles and Elvis paraphernalia in favor of self-order kiosks, table service, mobile order and pay, and delivery, plus a standalone McCafe area. There are also more than 70 trees at ground level and on-site solar panels that are expected to cover 60 percent of the building’s electrical demands,” reports Yahoo News.
