Two men from Covington, Kentucky were each sentenced to 10-years in prison for robbing a gas station using an NES Zapper. Arthur Swain approached the clerk — while his friend Jeremy Goins acted as the lookout — and flashed the “toy gun”, shortly after, he made off with approximately $100 from the register.

“Victims and police did not know the gun was a toy until after it was all over,” Isler said during the sentencing hearing Monday. “The defendants could have easily gotten themselves or innocent bystanders shot.”
