Peter Lu built this custom arcade joystick for his Nintendo Wii -- also functional on the GameCube. Best of all, it's up for sale, check out the auction here. Video after the jump.
It has a japanese style joystick and, for now, hooks up to my wii through the gamecube port...I took a spin with Fire Emblem, Capcom vs Snk 2 and Ikaruga for Gamecube (played on my wii) and then two virtual console titles, Wario Ware and Solomon's key. I have to say, it's absofreakinglutely awesome

That takes some skill regardless of how simple it may look, a joystick from the ground up :)

Actually its quite easy. It's pretty much a simple rewire of an exsisting controller. You can easily build one for any console for about 30 bux (if you have an exsisting controller your willing to sacrifice) from www.happcontrols.com and with info from http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm :) happy modding!
