Nintendo DS Clone

A China-based company decided to create their own cheap knockoff of the Nintendo DS, you switch games by literally removing the screen. At least the case looks halfway decent. Video clip after the jump. [ShoutIt]

can no one come up with original ideas anymore? Nintendo comes out with a great handheld, then it gets copied by someone. wow. are people really that brain-dead?

First of all, I think the effort on this "ds clone" was just to make a few bucks in country sides where the real DS would cost about a whole cow and a half. It is a cheap and affordable toy to be sold in these poor areas. I am more disturbed by the caucasian [i want to be careful here] or "white guy" in the video. To be fair, i would mock it if i see it on the street. But to actually buy it, then make a video of it... wow almost seems like "his" people developed the DS. He is just a sad kid that needs his 15 seconds in the spot light. Al beit, mocking an entire culture and people with his offbeat gestures and not-so-pleasing-to-look-at-face. However, speaking from past experiences, people like that are generally pussies that look down on other kinds of people and run away when confronted. I gave up trying to reason with them, and Erwin... you should too.

PPS: I grew up in the states and now live in london where that "bloke" is probrably from. what i can say is this: they have a particular way of looking down on anyone that is not english. Usually its the "bugger off" or "you dont exsist look". The next one... my favorite, would be smile at you and insult you with their commanding armitage of the english language. But all i hear from them are oy! bugh ok aek ... or something in that general line. Being an Asian with an american accent dont help either. Funny thing is... nothing in the UK is worthwhile. They even put a 150 Pound ($300) Tax on a Television Liscence... You need to pay to watch regular TV. Congestion charges into cental london (8 pounds or $17). This place sucks... I am goin goin back back to cali cali

Yeah i'm only pissed off coz i come from places where that's sold. Where kids dream of living in the Uk, or the US when its not that great. Takin the piss out of that is like taking away there dream. I remeber i had a mobile phone one of them, and a gameboy one, it was the only thing our family could afford, and that was my grandparents, 4 of there children with there family in a room about the size of an average classroom. Thats why im pissed off to be honest. *careful now*

I think people are missing the point -- this "system" is rubbish that even the earliest commodore 64 games could easily surpass. The only thing amazing about it is that it actually started up. I couldn't be PAID to own this piece of crap.

I thought htat video was quite funny. he mocked the product, not China. Cheers for then having a go at the entire English population about it. Bloody foreigners, if Mike hates the UK so much, then please do leave, you'll make the BNP very happy. O and the TV lisence that you're slagging off, you're clearly too ignorant to notice that minority cultures get much more of a voice under this system with Channel 4 and the BBC, than with an entirely commercial system. Thats really pissed me off, such a hypocrite. And all over a joke about a crapy toy that doesn't work properly!
