Situated in the Adriatic Sea, on the border between Montenegro and Croatia, is the uninhabited island of Mamula, a former World War II concentration camp under the rule of fascist leader Benito Mussolini. Now, the Montenegrin government plans to transform this piece of land into a luxury resort. The process will include retrofitting the fort with guest rooms, complete with an indoor restaurant as well as a dining establishment on the rounded terrace.
