(Video) Jet-Powered VW Beetle

One of our readers just pointed us to a video showing Ron Patrick's infamous jet-powered VW beetle in-action. Just a quick refersher, this monster is powered by two engines (original up front, jet in back) -- spinning at up to 26,000 rpm/13,000 rpm idle -- that produce an insane 1350 horsepower. Lol! The car itself is somewhat old news, but Letterman's twist made me smile :p Even the 'Spirit of America' remark and the final words about 'what Americans want' where for me (as an European) still good comedy. (plz dont flame me for this :)
