Sony Japan will launch the 20GB PlayStation 3 at $429 and 60GB at $525, which is around $70-less than what US consumers will pay for the systems.

Retailer Momotaro Ohkoku is listing the 60 GB version at 62,800 yen ($525). The site states that if there are too many pre-orders, it will have a draw, so it’s not first-come-first-serve and no guarantees. I was expecting the worst, but this price isn’t so bad. Of course, my pre-reserve is at a totally different store altogether
