World's First Programmable Robot From 60AD Recreated

In this NewScientist segment, "Ben Crystall explains how he recreated a programmable robot dating from 60AD." Video after the break.
The string pulled by the weight goes forward and back depending on where it has been wrapped around pegs in the axle, producing a handy tool for moving actors on and off stage
