Alysson DaPaz used Godot Engine 3.5 to create an incredible 16-bit SNES demake of Mega Man X8. This game was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004 and boasted 3D graphics as well as 2.5D gameplay.
The current build features the intro stage, along with all eight maverick stages completed, as well as their respective bosses, weapons and secrets. There are no medals, shop, retry chips or intermissions and only X will be playable for now. Download it here now.

Both Avalanche Yeti’s and Gigabolt Man-O-War’s stages are going to be reworked to play similar to Overdrive Ostrich’s stage from Mega Man X2. The RideChaser will work similar to Mega Man X2, but is now more responsive and can be stopped at any point. It also has the damaging airdash from X4,” said DaPaz.
