According to the manufacturer, General Motors, the current presidential limousine – nicknamed “The Beast” – is based on the Cadillac DTS, and the first one not to carry a specific model name. Its body components are sourced from a variety of Cadillac vehicles, and although a price tag has not been announced, each limousine is assumed to cost around $1.5-million USD. The limousine is airlifted for domestic and international use primarily by a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III. The fuel efficiency is an abysmal 8mpg, but it does seat 7-people securely.
