Toyota unveils the 2011 Scion tC, which features a new engine that “utilizes variable valve technology for optimal combustion characteristics and the extra deciliter of displacement equates to a 180 horsepower and a torque figure that increases by 11 lb-ft.” Video after the break.

The added power commutes to the wheels via a brand new six-speed manual transmission. This is one more speed on top of the bygone five-speed which should allow for lower engine speed while highway cruising.
